"The Weary Blues" by Langston Hughes

I really enjoyed watching this video. I liked how it started off showing you Time Square and many other popular places in NYC. I think they chose to show you at night because that is when it is lighted as well as the most busy. The poem "The Weary Blues" is a very deep poem. I liked how the guy on the stage was using his body to express the words in the poem as the speaker was speaking. When the line "rocking back and forth to a mellow croon" was announced by the speaker the man on the stage actually did a back and forth motion. This video showed you what the blues were actaully about and what people did when they heard poetry or music that contained this type of tone. The jazz music in the background was very dark and creepy. It was also very depressing.
